A Tribute to Late Ambassador Joseph Habineza (Vice President-East Africa Region, All Africa Association for Small and Medium Enterprises).
It’s a solemn moment of shock, pain and sadness as we received the news of the sudden demise of our dear Ambassador Joseph Habineza who until his death was our Vice President covering East Africa Region and a founding Member of AAASME.
He believed in the vision that SMEs can indeed accelerate prosperity for all in Africa as enshrined in Aspiration 1 of African Union Agenda 2063. Our memories of him are pleasant and warm, he was a broad minded Pan- Africanist, we recall with nostalgia March 1,2018 when the Board of AAASME was chartered and inaugurated with Ambassador Joe being very contributive especially over encouraging regional integration and youth development using SME Platform.
He was truly a social as well as simple personality, this is a great loss to our Organization. May his kind, gentle and loving soul Rest In Peace
While praying God to give the immediate family alongside all of us, the fortitude to bear this painful exit.
Adieu Ambassador Joe! You are sorely missed, Fare thee Well!!

I met Late Joe in Bayelsa for the first time during the SME Roundatable event in 2018, he was a jovial man and very intelligent.
The news of your demise came as a rude shock but our solace is in the fact that you are in a better place.
